Hong Kong has become one of the leading logistics centres in the Asian area. Container handling is the important industry to shoulder the ever changing requirements in logistics activities. Occupational safety of employees involved in container handling operations has also been changed as a result of the change in work requirements. For example, change in mode of storage and high quality of packaging, etc can greatly increase the risk of job. Having reviewed the safety training in container handling, OSHC has added the new training element of logistics and strengthened the existing operations of freight transportation. The course aims at providing the participants with the safety training in container handling in order to assist their employers in implementing safety and health programmes in workplaces and improving the safety and health of employees as well.

1) Ability to read and write in Chinese and 2) Completion of secondary education(F.5 under HKCEE or F.6 under HKDSE) or above or equivalent (applicants should provide copies of certification) or 23 years of age or above and 3 years of working experience (applicants should provide proof of experience) |

● Award of Certificate: 100% attendance and pass the end-of-course examination. ● Students who do not have sufficient attendance are not allowed to attend the examination. ● Students who are absent from the class, late or leave earlier for more than 30 minutes in a class will be regarded as absent for that session.
