With the establishment and implementation of safety management system amongst large scale enterprise, evidence showing there is a significantly improvement of OSH performance in Hong Kong. To further enhance safety performance and to prevent accidents in a more effective way, work safe behavior and safety climate index survey will be one of the important elements. Many research findings show that the major cause of workplace accident is employees safe behavior at work. Although an organization may have established a safety management system, the implementation of it also requires employees having safe behavior. Safety climate index survey is the employees view on the occupational safety and health issues. It is one of the indicators reflecting the level of safety culture in the organization. It is effective to introduce a survey method to assess the safety climate index in the organization by using a questionnaire and how to use the result to draw up an improvement plan to enhance the level of safety climate in the organization.
Both work safe behavior and safety climate index survey are effective tools in monitoring and control the implementation of safety management system. This train-the-trainer course emphasizes on both theory and practice and is targeted for safety officers, safety supervisors and management staff who have the desire to become the effective trainer for work safe behavior and safety climate index survey.

Completion of secondary education (F.5 under HKCEE or F.6 under HKDSE) or above or equivalent (applicants should provide copies of certification) or holders of “Occupational Safety and Health Training Techniques” course; 3. Ability to read and write Chinese |

● Award of Certificate: 100% attendance and pass in end-of-course examination. ● Students who do not have sufficient attendance is not allowed to attend the examination. ● Students who are absent from the class, late or leave earlier for more than 30 minutes in class will be regarded as absent for that session. |
