Hong Kong Manufacturing sector has switched to high value-added production from labour-intensive production during recent years. Especially after the implementation of loser Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA), introducing alternative manufacturing processes and producing high value-added products are the importance issues to be considered by local manufacturers. This implies a change in manufacturing environment and safety and health level. In other words, there is a need to have continual improvement to meet the safety and health development in manufacturing sectors and the local obligations. As the members of front line management, safety supervisors should have continual learning to enhance the professional competences and keep up with the developments in the field so as to maintain high safety and health standards while carrying out manufacturing works. This course aims at introducing the up-to-date knowledge on safety legislations, safety and health control for materials suppliers/vendors, and modern safety principles/techniques for safety supervisors to execute their works safely.
