(ANIP)Installation Practice of Anchor Devices for Fall Protection System

Function of anchor devices is to secure the fall protection facilities in such a way that wokers can work safely and contentedly. Anchor deviecs that are in common use including Cast-in anchor, Drilled-in anchor (such as stud anchor and push-in anchor), Resin bonded anchor, and Through Type Anchors, etc.

Accidents related to the collapse of working platform and fall from height as a result of the failure of the anchorages have occurred occasionally. Installation workers must have correct concept, adequate knowledge and skills for different types of anchor devices with respect to propoer selection, applications, requirements of installation and inspection procedures, and limitations as well as the effect of substrate. All these issues are required to ensure that secure anchorage points for fall protection system are appropriate and adequate in order to have high integrity and reliability of working platforms and fall protection systems.

The objectives of this course are to provide the participants with the basic knowledge about safety requirements and application of different types of anchor devices; and correct practices of using anchor devices including how to install, use and inspect them. This course is suitable for all personnel working in construction or maintenance and decoration works.

Duration (Hour): 7 hours
Instructor: Professional or OSHC Consultants
Language: Cantonese supplemented with Chinese notes
Prerequisites: Ability to read and write in Chinese and possess working experiences in construction or maintenance works
Remark: ◎Award of Certificate: 100% attendance and pass the end-of-course examination.
◎Students who do not have sufficient attendance are not allowed to attend the examination
◎Students who are absent from the class, late or leave earlier for more than 30 minutes in a class will be regarded as absent for that session.
