However, the honor is paid by the employees suffering from injuries - occupational injuries in Catering Industry are the highest in terms of number of accidents among various industries within these 5 years. Accidents caused by poor housekeeping are common such as The slip or trip in kitchen or cut from knives. "5S" is an effective approach to improve the housekeeping of catering workplaces in order to reduce accident, promote working efficiency and service quality by means of Organisation, Neatness, Cleanliness, Standardisation and Discipline. The course aims to introduce the concepts and application of 5S in the catering industry in such a way that the employees can make use of this approach in their working environment for accident preention and providing high quality of service.
