The mass transportation system in Hong Kong plays an important role in its economic development. To provide an efficient, reliable and safe transportation system, we not only need a good workforce to operate our vehicles but also to carry out regular maintenance in order to ensure the vehicles are functioning properly. However, maintenance workers face a lot of hazards in their work such as malfunctioning of hydraulic jigs, lifting of heavy spare parts and tools and hazardous chemicals. Accidents are not uncommon. The Occupational Safety & Health Council aims to lower the number of these accidents by offering this course to foremen and supervisors in the motor repair industry.
