Laboratories involve handling of numerous chemicals and procedures, and operations of different equipment and instrument. Accidents can be caused by various hazards originated from chemicals, e.g. storage of chemicals and handling of chemical wastes, microbes or dissections, etc. Therefore, working in laboratories requires extensive safety precaution. This course is intended to provide the employees working in the laboratories with a basic understanding of general safety for laboratory work. |
