(M(E))Manual Lifting and Handling (English Class)

Improper manual handling is responsible for 20 to 30 per cent of all industrial accidents in many counties. The injuries range from minor cuts to permanent disability due to back injury. Employers have a legal duty to provide training on proper manual handling to employees. The purpose of this course is to provide training to candidates on how injury can result from improper manual handling and the correct way of manual lifting.

2.Basic ergonomics
3.Causes of manual lifting injury
4.Method of correct manual lifting
5.Basic treatment of back and waist muscles
Duration (Hour): 3.5 hours plus end-of-course examination
Instructor: Professional or OSHC Consultant
Language: English supplemented with English notes
Prerequisites: Ability to read and write in English
Remark: ◎Award of Certificate: 100% attendance and pass the end-of-course examination.
◎Students who do not have sufficient attendance are not allowed to attend the examination
◎Students who are absent from the class, late or leave earlier for more than 30 minutes in class will be regarded as absent for that session.
