(LALG)Safe Use of Lifting Appliances and Lifting Gear
Lifting appliances and lifting gear are commonly used for transporting materials such as tower cranes used in construction sites and gantries used in factories. The hoisted loads do possess weights. Hence, improper practices to carrying out lifting operations can result in serious accident e.g. capsizing of crane , yielding of lifting gear or falling of lifted loads. This course aims to introduce to the participants the hazards involving in lifting operations and their respective control measures in order to avoid the occurrence of accident.
