General Occupational Safety and Health Courses

(HHW)General Safety for Household Workers

Household workers are becoming more popular nowadays in modern families. The works involved look routine but also have a number of potential safety and health problems such as musculoskeletal disorders, slip/fall, contact with hazardous chemicals (e.g. cleaning solvent, bleaching solution, pesticides etc), parasites, viruses, bacteria or fungi. The course aims to enhance the safety and health awareness of participants and assist them to prevent accidents while at work.

Highlights：	1. Introduction to occupational safety and health legislation of Hong Kong 2. Different working environments of household workers 3. Occupational safety and health hazards of household workers 4. Preventive and control measures 5. Emergency procedures
Duration (Hour)：	3.5 hours
Instructor：	Professional or OSHC consultant
Language：	Cantonese supplemented with Chinese notes
Prerequisites：	Ability to read and write in Chinese
Remark：	◎Award of Certificate: 100% attendance and pass the end-of-course examination. ◎Students who do not have sufficient attendance are not allowed to attend the examination ◎Students who are absent from the class, late or leave earlier for more than 30 minutes in a class will be regarded as absent for that session.
