There are thousands of domestic helpers working in Hong Kong families making contribution to the local economy. Their works may look familiar to us, yet there are various potential hazards such as musculoskeletal disorders arising from doing chores due to improper methods; electric shock due to improper use of electrical appliances; cut/scald injury from kitchen work etc. On and off there are serious accidents that not only cause serious injury but also great disruption to the normal life of the family therein. This course aims at providing Indonesian domestic helpers with the basic occupational safety and health knowledge to assist them to work safely which in turn help to build and maintain a safe and healthy home.

◎Cantonese supplemented with Chinese/Indonesian notes ◎Award of Certificate: 100% attendance and pass in end-of-course examination. ◎Students who do not have sufficient attendance are not allowed to attend the examination ◎Students who are absent from the class, late or leave earlier for more than 30 minutes in a class will be regarded as absent for that session. |
