Highlights:
Laboratories involve handling of numerous chemicals and procedures, and operations of different equipment and instrument. Accidents can be caused by various hazards originated from chemicals, e.g. storage of chemicals and handling of chemical wastes, microbes or dissections, etc. Therefore, working in laboratories requires extensive safety precaution. This course is intended to provide the employees working in the laboratories with a basic understanding of general safety for laboratory work.
Duration (Hour): 6 hours
Instructor: Professional or OSHC consultant
Language: Cantonese supplemented with Chinese notes
Prerequisites: Ability to read and write Chinese
Remark: ◎Award of Certificate: 100% attendance and pass in end-of-course examination
◎Students are not allowed to sit for the examination if they have not satisfied the attendance requirement.
◎Students who are absent from the class, late or leave earlier for more than 30 minutes in a class will be regarded as absent for that session.
