A common activity to construction sites, factories and other industrial undertakings such as warehouses, metal ware and retailing shops is lifting operations to transport materials, products, tools, plants and equipment. Accidents arising from lifting operations can result in serious injury and plant damage. Poor selection and use of lifting gears and improper rigging are some of the contributory factors. This course aims to provide persons who are involved in lifting operations or have taken up the responsibility of a rigger with the basic knowledge of the safe use of lifting gears and safe rigging practices.

Duration (Hour): 7 hours
Instructor: Professional or OSHC consultant
Language: Cantonese supplemented with Chinese notes
Prerequisites: Ability to read and write in Chinese
Remark: ● Award of Certificate: 100% attendance and pass practical assessment and the end-of-course examination.
● Students who do not have sufficient attendance are not allowed to attend the examination
● Students who are absent from the class, late or leave earlier for more than 30 minutes in class will be regarded as absent for that session.
