There are many workers engaged in the installation and maintenance of lifts and escalators. In order to ensure their safety and health at work, the workers must recognise the hazards in their working environments and implement effective safety measures. The purpose of this course is to introduce the hazards and safe practices in the installation and maintenance of lifts and escalators and how to put this knowledge into practice. This course is suitable for workers engaged in the installation and maintenance of lifts and escalators.

1. Cause of accidents in the installation and maintenance of lifts and escalators
2. Recognition of hazards at work
3. Accident prevention and control measures in high risk jobs (eg, working at height, hot work, machine operations and electric power tools)
4. Introduction of Code of Practice for working with lifts and escalators
Duration (Hour): 3.5 hours
Instructor: Professional or OSHC consultant
Language: Cantonese supplemented with Chinese notes
Prerequisites: Ability to read and write in Chinese
Remark: ◎Award of Certificate: 100% attendance and pass the end-of-course examination.
◎Students who do not have sufficient attendance are not allowed to attend the examination
◎Students who are absent from the class, late or leave earlier for more than 30 minutes in a class will be regarded as absent for that session.
