Certificate Of Competence Courses
(MH)Certificate of Competence in Manual Handling
The new Occupational Safety and Health Regulation, which became effective in June 1998, requires the responsible person of a workplace to assess the risks arising from manual handling. In addition, if ten or more employees are employed to undertake manual handling operations which may create safety and health risks, the person responsible for the workplace must appoint competent persons to assist in carrying out preventive and protective measures. In order to provide the necessary training for those who wish to become competent persons, the Labour Department and the Occupational Safety & Health Council have jointly developed this training programme. The course is suitable for those who want to become a competent person in manual handling.

● Award of Certificate: 100% attendance and pass in end-of-course examination. ● Students who do not have sufficient attendance is not allowed to attend the examination. ● Students who are absent from the class, late or leave earlier for more than 30 minutes in class will be regarded as absent for that session. |
