Lasers emit high intensity visible and invisible optical radiation which are widely used in the commercial, industrial, education, research and medical such as equipments used in entertainment, welding and cutting, aesthetic, surgery and optical fibre system. The potential hazards of laser are different with other workplaces hazards. Laser may present hazards such as serious risks of injury to eye and skin to operator and others if the operator lacks of awareness of laser safety or under insufficient safety measures.

This course is suitable to the employer, management staff, employee and salesman of laser equipment, aiming to enhance their safety awareness. The course will also introduce the relevant OSH legislative requirements, potential hazards and control measures when operating laser equipment.
