(PN)PNEUMOCONIOSIS & ITS PREVENTION IN THE CONSTRUCTION & QUARRYING INDUSTRY(JOINTLY ORGANISED WITH PCFB

Pneumoconiosis is a common occupational lung disease in Hong Kong, which is more prevalent among construction and quarry workers. "Prevention is more important than cure" is definitely applicable to pneumoconiosis which cannot be cured at the moment. Medication can only alleviate the symptoms of the disease.
This course, jointly organized by the Pneumoconiosis Compensation Fund Board and the Occupational Safety and Health Council, aims at helping participants understand the Pneumoconiosis (Compensation) (Amendment) Ordinance as well as the health effects of the disease and preventive measures.

Instructor: Professional or OSHC Consultant
Language: Cantonese supplemented with Chinese notes
Prerequisites: Ability to read and write Chinese
Remark: ● Award of Certificate: 100% attendance, pass practical assessment and the end-of-course examination.
● Students who do not have sufficient attendance are not allowed to attend the examination.
● Students who are absent from the class, late or leave earlier for more than 30 minutes in class will be regarded as absent for that session.
